Innovative truck loading and unloading system, iTLS - Powered by GreyMatter, increases fulfillment efficiency, speed, and safety for clients.
FREMONT, CA: “By transforming one of the most time-consuming and labor-intensive processes in the warehouse through a partnership with Technica, our fulfillment platform now delivers the most comprehensive warehouse solution in the market," says Samay Kohli, co-founder, and CEO, GreyOrange. Providing customized, turnkey solutions for product handling, Technica International, one of the world's leading providers of robotic fulfillment and inventory optimization software, has formed a new partnership with GreyOrange to address inefficiencies and safety issues in truck loading and unloading by integrating Technica's iTLS technology with GreyOrange's fulfillment orchestration platform, GreyMatter.
“We enable smart robotic intralogistics for every process step in the warehouse, offering supply chain leaders a fully integrated solution for significant productivity, speed and efficiency gains in a matter of weeks,” adds Kohli.
Technicas unique and innovative robotic truck loading and unloading solution iTLS increases dock efficiency and speed by leveraging GreyMatter", a robot agnostic fulfillment orchestration platform with seamless integration, to orchestrate robots through the activity, allowing workers to concentrate on higher value tasks. Leaders in the supply chain and logistics now have an additional option for addressing global difficulties, such as the present labor shortage, as both employees and leaders increasingly recognize cooperative robotic-human solutions as indispensable workforce-supporting tools.
Powered by GreyMatter, iTLS allows 99 percent palletization efficiency and accuracy while producing rainbow pallets, improves ergonomics to minimize employee fatigue, decreases dock turnaround times by up to 150 percent, and increases truck loading and unloading productivity by up to fourfold. The solution is CE-compliant, compatible with all conventional container sizes, and able to handle cases, cartons, totes, and other containers.
The Industrial Safety and Hygiene News reports that 25 percent of all industrial accidents occur at loading docks. Truck loading and unloading are labor-intensive and manual processes, compounded by poor ergonomics for heavy loads, resulting in low vehicle fill rates and long turnaround times. This creates efficiency problems at both ends of the warehouse and strains workers, leading to accidents and safety problems.
"Due to increasing needs for delivering goods from warehouses to retailers, introducing this new technology with the robot is vital for increasing efficiency, higher profit margins and lowering carbon footprint by decreasing truck traffic," says Tony Haddad, founder, and chairman, of Technica International. "We are thrilled to join forces with GreyOrange to help make this labor-intensive part of the fulfillment process safer for workers by enabling smart robots to complete the manual tasks of loading and unloading."
