Cruden will showcase the new LED panel visual systems for driver-in-the-loop (DIL) simulators at the 20th annual Driving Simulator Conference.
FREMONT, CA: At the 20th annual Driving Simulator Conference (DSC 2021 Europe VR), September 14-17, at the Technical University of Munich, Cruden, one of the worlds' most prominent manufacturers and integrators of driving simulators, will demonstrate the new LED panel visual systems for driver-in-the-loop (DIL) simulators.
This year's event includes restricted visits to BMW Group's new FIZ Driving Simulator Centre, which is being built near Munich and will house nine Cruden DIL simulators, five of which will include LED panel displays for the first time in a driving simulator application.
Cruden experts will directly view LED wall solutions from two separate providers on booth 16 utilizing the new Cruden Panthera Unity render engine and high-definition content. Bastiaan Graafland, Cruden's Product Manager, will also showcase the technology at a conference industrial pitch session on Wednesday, September 15th at 12:10 p.m., accessible online by a virtual participation ticket.
Dennis Marcus, Commercial Manager at Cruden, says: "We cannot wait to reconnect with the industry at DSC 2021 Europe VR and show our LED wall visual technology, both on our booth and at BMW. We are now deploying LED systems our driving simulators and expect this to become a reference for uncompromised visuals for DIL testing."
Due to advancements like enhanced pixel pitch, which has reduced from 2.5mm to as small as 0.9mm, LED panel technology has become increasingly appealing for driving simulations. Direct View LED technology offers unrivalled brightness, contrast, and color uniformity and eliminates the image blending processes that projectors require.
"Cruden is also proud to be part of the multi-simulator approach that DSC 2021 Europe VR guests will be able to see taken by BMW Group at its FIZ Driving Simulator Centre. The specification of a variety of simulators allows a diverse range of automotive systems to be tested and represents a very contemporary approach to DIL simulator testing at vehicle manufacturer level," concludes Marcus.
