When Prismview, a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics needed high-quality protection to protect the sensitive circuitry within their outdoor LED displays, HZO worked with the company’s engineering and manufacturing groups to apply a protective coating capable of withstanding harsh weather and pollutants. HZO also recently partnered with Sarcos, a global robotics technology leader, to provide a protection solution for the company’s remote visual inspection robot (RVI), Guardian^® S. HZO’s solutions enabled the RVI to be able to traverse harsh liquid environments while achieving uninterrupted functionality and connectivity, keeping its operators out of harm’s way.

By broadening the scope of its materials and processes, HZO tailors solutions to specific business needs so that business leaders do not feel pigeonholed into choosing a specific protection solution that may not be ideal for their organization. “When it comes to protecting your electronics, we feel that one size does not fit all,” Lerebours noted.

In addition to multiple coating techniques, HZO uses proprietary cost-cutting measures, such as automated masking and demasking (a process to ensure parts such as connectors do not get covered in film material) to drive down prices of “gold-standard” protection such as Parylene coatings.
