Vital to the safety of airplane engines, every part had to be thoroughly inspected to ensure impeccable performance. Due to the component’s size and complex geometry, these inspections traditionally encompassed various intricate pre-inspection processes, including manual, hazardous and time-consuming chemical cleaning, drying and penetrant procedures, attributed to the large and complex geometry of the components.

Here, BE designed an innovative, fully automated system that uses standard industrial robots to conduct the process within a compact modular safety encapsulation. This transformative solution not only enhanced efficiency but also reduced the safety risks associated with manual processes, ensuring consistent and reliable outcomes.
